One of our projects in Mingaladon township in Yangon region, the economic and former capital of Myanmar (Burma), was to support schooling for poor children from non-Christian families. The project was a collaboration with a local church, Rakhine State Chin Baptist Church.

To ensure regular schooling, the children lived in a boarding school. They received food, care, homework help and a Christian environment. In order to be able to build their own boarding school, not rent, the purchase of a larger property was made possible and publicly documented. There were donations from Norway.

However, after the military coup in 2021, the leaders of the work/project had to flee from another country for security reasons, and the area was forcibly controlled by the Myanmar military, which meant that further operation and support was no longer possible.
